I usually am pretty good at being able to figure out whether a particular camera mode is worth using just from reading the descriptions, but have not been able to understand exactly how the SuperView mode works. I currently shoot in wide with the goal of watching the video in 4K on a nice big TV. The SuperView mode looks like it captures a wider angle image. Is it awesome or crap? Does it use the whole sensor? Thanks for helping me decide.

super view 170 wide 130
this is on land once you submerge the flat port this will drop considerably and according to scubageek at most 97 degrees and 85 or the wide all looking horribly distorted as any flat port
Up to you to consider if the extra 10 degrees are worth it or not
