I am currently arranging a liveaboard trip and have all kinds of wierd discount offers ranging from 10% to 40% (on the same boat in one case with the the operator offering 10% and a reseller offering me 40%).

Does anyone have any views/experiences on what would be a "standard discount" rate for a group of 10 divers - or a rate that I could benchmark from??

Many thanks

Firstly theres no way a reseller can offer you 40% what I expect they are offering you is 40% of the overall commision.

Meaning if the commision is $100 they will give you $40

If you stick with what the liveabord is offering you you will be inline with what the normal structure is.

regards

More or less if you book direct with the op 10 or 12 people pay full price and you get "about" two free spots. But each deal has it's own ratio. Check around but do not use middle men the juice goe's up!
