gx100 in dx-1g housing

Will the gx100 fit and work in the dx-1g housing or do you have to have the sea & sea version of the camera. The same qusetion applies for the gx200 and the dx-2g housing

Yes, the Ricoh GX100 and GX200 cameras would fit in each respective housing.

So for users that already have either a GX100 or GX200, can you purchase the housing separately? The online sellers I've seen only stock the package OR the camera on its own, not the housing

didn't want to start a new thread as I think the question is fairly closely related, so.. bump.. can the Sea&Sea DX1G or DX2G housings be purchased seperately to the cameras?

No, the housing is not sold separately. You have to buy the housing and camera together. However, if you have the DX-1G or 2G and it floods or the camera is lost, you can replace the camera with a GX-100 or 200.

That is what I got from a previous thread. Will fit but the LCD Screen won't be fully visible and I'm not sure if all the buttons would be accessible.

no, they do not have the same sizes. Not all the buttons are accessible.

Yeah, but what _exactly_ do you lose? How big is the incompatibility? Depending on what button it is, I might well live with it for a while to afford the faster RAW captures.
