Welcome to the board!

Check out our Divers With Disabilities forum: http://www.scubaboard.com/forumdisplay.php?f=346

Yes, yes, yes! Disabled divers abound. I dived with one in Cozumel.

Welcome to SB. I know there are many divers with one disability or another. Heck, put any of us in the water and we all have a disability ... we have to have air! Don't give up on your dream. Go for it!

Howdy and welcome to SB!

Looks like your Intro was moved here for better coverage. :thumb:

Good to have you here. Click here to PM me if I can help you get started in our various forums.

Howdy Chuck,
Of course, there are other disabled divers out here, and I am one. I was temporarily paralyzed from the waist down in 2003, but I have regained some feeling and movement of my legs again. I resumed diving with the help of one of my best friends, who was a physical therapist also and am now actively teaching scuba diving once again. I teach PADI, and IAHD (International Association of Handicapped Divers) classes. Several organizations specialize in special needs courses, IAHD, and HSA (Handicapped Scuba Association). I teach for both of these fine organizations, and would be more than glad to assist you with getting your scuba classes started. PM me if I can be of any assistance. You can also check out my web site for so additional information (www.cliftondivingventures.com).
Hope to see you diving soon,
Kurt
