WOW seriously? I'm in utter shock you'd think telling another diver about a potentially dangerous situation is somehow wrong.
When someone does get seriously hurt and you could have prevented it, maybe you'll learn its best to prevent then rescue.

So there is a Scuba Police - I knew it... :D

I don't see it that way. Most of the old-timers I dive with, have all new gear and vastly prefer the new stuff to the old stuff.

Well, there is no accounting for taste, perhaps they are suffering from the "Harley/Corvette Syndrome." Being a 60 yo diver who has been continuously an active diver since 1966, I have used an awful lot of SCUBA gear and worn out a lot of SCUBA gear and have learned that gear does not make the diver and that new gear only stays new if you do not use it. Does their "new stuff" gear still have the price tag on it like Minnie Pearl's hats?

Yep, it was like an underwater sales floor down there on our dives. There were white tags everywhere! LOL :D

Its the new "fad" in diving ya know right? This way people can see how much you spent on gear so they can be impressed because most people simply see a regulator and have no idea how much it cost!
