Entering the water with an empty bladder sure helps. Might consider taking a 5 gallon bucket and poncho on boats without a head. That's what we use when we're out fishing all day in our boat without a head. My wife scans the horizon, dons the poncho and mounts the bucket. All is hidden. Now on a crowded cattle boat it might be a bit more difficult.
