I used to exhale through my nose. Then I concentrated on not exhaling through my nose. Now I don't exhale through my nose any more.
My masks still leak but not as much as before. And also when I was exhaling through my nose and caused the mask to leak, I simply cleared it. That's why we learned how to do mask clearance drill. A leaky mask due to nose exhalation is not a show stopper. Nor is it a life threatening issue.
