There appears to be a final date set for trial in the Rob Stewart death case (see attached document). The family of Stewart filed the initial complaint in Federal District court, it was then remanded to State court, then was barred from any actions in the State court by a Federal judge and now it appears the Plaintiff is Horizon Dive Adventures, Inc.! There are lots of pleadings to sift through.

Looks like Horizon is pleading that they have no/limited liability vs Sotis and Rob (posthumously)

A counter claim is not unusual.

Horizon case filed in Federal court
Stewart case filed in State court

    Venue differences to watch.

The venues are critical for many reasons.

"What reasons?" he queried, revealing his ignorance.

Ok, ok, I'll tell you. There are far more restrictive limits on what the plaintiff can collect in federal court than in state court. In state court, the sky is the limit. In federal court, Stewart's life's worth is calculated by his past earnings. Im told, but have no objective evidence, that he basically had no reportable income, so his life has little value in a federal court.

That's why it's important to establish whether he died in federal waters or state waters.
