She only lost it for a year. I expect she had to do some additional classes to ensure she wouldn't hit a destroyer with her boat. Of course, her navigational skills were never in question...

From the link below, for those who are wondering who Kyaa Heller is. The diver was never recovered.
“Under the direction and control of Kyaa Heller, the Sundiver Express departed from a dive site off Catalina Island Dec. 29, 2015, while a dive passenger was unaccounted for after entering the water for a recreational dive,” the Coast Guard said.
