How do people signal with mittens?

Asking out of curiosity, not getting them any time soon. For example, how do I say that I have 1500 psi if I were wearing these:

most will go with lobster gloves instead of true mittens that give you your index finger back.

In terms of gas, there are agreed upon hand signals for certain intervals instead of direct pressure. Everything else just gets greatly simplified communication.

@Storker is the right person to ask since I try to avoid mittens if at all possible, and if I do have to use them, I'm usually not buddy diving.

@Storker only has experience with three-fingers, not full mittens.

With three-fingers, we just disregard "4" and define "5" as a closed fist instead of an open palm. That makes it possible to see a difference between "3" and "5". With mittens, I'd either have a chat with my buddy before the dive and agree on what can be signalled and what can't be signalled. And quite possibly resort to showing my SPG instead of trying to convey the unconveyable.
