Thanks, it actually does! It tells me what that the bottom features that we have been looking for are where we should be. The density of rubble and size seems to be pretty consistant in 3 of the pics as to the veins we've been in. (as opposed to larger rubble areas that are less dense or more desert like areas.)

Thanks!

It amazes me that someone who found "a few 3 inchers" is asking what they might be doing wrong

It seems you expect 6 inchers to be on every dive

Most regulars to VB find the smaller teeth and keep an eye out for the larger ones. It is the luck of tide, current, timing and plain dumb luck to find the large megs. They are in 15-22' of water for the most part...

I have between 12,000 and 15,000 teeth found at VB. Only a small amount are larger than 1"

Capt. Jamie, those pics sure are purty, I almost forgot what they look like, Its been a few weeks since Ive even been in the Water.:coffee:

Um, I usually look in the glass of water on my nightstand. Sorry, couldn't resist.

I have a much better strategy. I stay on the beach eating great food and let NetDoc collect enough teeth on his dives that he's willing to give me a few dozen. At least that's what happened when I was at Venice Beach Thanksgiving of 2007!
