How Do You Remove A Compass From The Dss Bungee Mount?

I have an Oceanic compass installed incorrectly into a DSS bungee mount.
How do I get it out?

the opposite of how it went in?

They just pop out, it's a snug fit, but they'll push out. A little bit of dawn dish soap and water usually helps to coerce them

Very warm water especially... softens up the rubber so it stretches better.
