How do you wash neoprene socks?

For all my neoprene gear, it is in the washing machine without detergent. And I do not store it before it is perfectly dry (but I will eventually use it again while slightly wet).

I have found that using all the above methods are a bit over the top.
Take your booties and put them in front of the fan so that their air is blown down inside. They stink because they're still wet. Dry them out and they won't stink anymore.

Fan, or paper towel.

you wash it in plain water... but you do it every time (after each day of diving) and you dry one side then turn inside-out...
