Hello Scubaboarders,

I've dived Dumaguate/Dauin/Apo a few times and Anilao once. Loved both destinations. Enjoyed the mix of macro and blue water/reef slope dives. Just wondering how the diving around Cabilao would compare with the above? Looking at staying at the Pura Vida Cabilao, it seems to be very popular after the recent renovations. Many thanks!

If you enjoy the mix of macro and reef slope dive then you're gonna love Cabilao for sure. Cabilao has this beautiful deep walls where you can dive along at any depth. Alot to see on those walls. As you ascend towards the 2nd half of your dive, you end up along the slopes where you have a nice combination of seagrass, sand, and individual coral block formations. We found many critters in Cabilao, also make sure to make some night dives and sunset dives. Some sites like Chapel have a wonderful and prestine hardcoral garden. Pura Vida Cabilao is definitely the place to go, new renovations, nice rooms, new boats, etc.
