How hydro and VIP+ testing are done

I found two interesting links. The first is a great explanation about how hydrostatic testing is done. The second is about how the VIP+ is done on aluminum tanks. These take the mystery out of what is done to our tanks.

I just read the link to the VIS+3. I find thier tests results very interesting. All the failures found in thier test batch were AL72 from 1970's. No "P" tanks or any from the 1980's. I'd like to see similar test results on a larger sample.
