How to clear lens after surfacing?

Hi All
I've some what would have been excellent footage from my dives, those moments immediately on surfacing (especially at sunset) - ruined by the water lingering on the housings lens area of my GoPro Hero 3+ (standard housing). No matter how many times I rubbed the housing with my thumb or fingers or base of palms, the video was 50% blurry and because of the water droplets. I dont have option of dry cloth until I climb the boat.

How do you folks deal with this?

Baby shampoo in a small bottle. Re apply after you surface ....

Saliva? Like you'd use in your mask.

Simply lick the droplets off.

Lick is the easy way. Another way is blow dry with reg air.

I apply rain-x to the housing lens. Works like a charm. I have not had that issue since.

Lemon Pledge is used by many, as is mask defog.

I asked exactly this question of a professional photographer who made great half-in-half-out of the water shots.
He also recommended pledge furniture polish.
I haven't tried it yet... full disclosure.

Not knowing what is in it, I would keep the Pledge away from any housing seals...
