How to use a microscope to see the wonders of the sea

Marine Plankton: Works of Art in the World of the Small
The photos in the link were taken with a point and shoot camera pointed down the eyepiece of a microscope. The live collections came by way of dipping a cup into the water at the beach. The diatoms were from a nearby cliff with a little water added.

I have a question about your pictures compared to the ones by Wim van Egmond you linked. His pictures seem to have a more colourful background. He must use some kind of editing. What does he do exactly to change the appearance of the pictures?

May I ask which is your microscope adapter?

I have several (for different cameras) but the only ones labelled are the MM99 from Martin Microscope Co. and the LNS-23D from Zarf Enterprises
