Not doing enough diving to warrant the several dozen cylinders we own, so time to thin the herd.

(1) HP100 (x2)
3500psi DIN valves
Last hydro: 11/12 (currently in VIP)
Both full of air.

Cost: $180 each ($350 for the pair)

(2) Double LP72s
144cf at 2500 PSI; these are the nicer PST 72s (26" long), and are MUCH easier to trim out than shorter cylinders.
Great set of small doubles; easy even from the shore.
200-bar DIN manifold and 2.5" *original* Highland bands (with mounting hardware).
Last hydro: 4/07
Currently filled with 1500 PSI of air.

Cost: $450.

I'd *really* prefer to sell these to people local to me in SoCal. I'm in San Pedro (Los Angeles). Wife works in Long Beach if that helps anyone, and we do make occasional trips down to San Diego.

Any wiggle on the sixes? They are only 89 new.

Good Lord, where are you finding new Luxfer AL6s with (Thermo) DIN valves for $89?! That's A LOT less than I paid for mine.

Sports chalet in Burbank. Thermo combo valves.

But who wants to dive an ugly yellow Catalina AL6 with a non-Thermo valve (website at least says it's not Thermo)?

Nevermind then. I don't put much stock in the brand of the valve or color of the tank on an argon bottle, to each their own.

No worries. The painted Catalina 6s with Genesis valves that Sports Chalet sells are a good deal.

Personally, I just strongly prefer the look of the brushed aluminum cylinders. I've also had better luck with Luxfers over Catalinas, plus having a standard set of valves (in my case, Thermos) means I only have to stock one type of valve kit for servicing.

I just don't see the Luxfers with valves anywhere for less than $130 (plus shipping and tax). One of these even comes full of argon. :)

These are great cylinders and seems like a good deal. Wish you were in FL.
