Humpback Whale at Playa Kalki, Westpunt, Curacao

Amazing experience this morning... paddled out on a kayak from GO WEST Diving Curacao for about 100 yards... where a Humpback Whale had surfaced!!! At a safe distance we spotted its eye and then witnessed it dive down lifting its tail out of the water... a quick flap and it was gone!!! It returned several times... but then finally departed!! This was a rare and beautiful experience... fortunately my family, staff and several divers witnessed this awesome occurrence! GO WEST... to the BEST!!

Thats what we have been seeing on Saba Humpback whales while diving in Saba, Dutch Caribbean - YouTube (Wait for second half of clip, too)
They stuck around for nearly a week!

My girlfriend Amy took this picture from Marazul resort. If you zoom you can see the instructor from Go West dive shop, that is their boat, that jumped in the water swimming back to the boat. I spoke to him when he got back in. He was definitely impressed with the size of the whale once it started moving.

I sure cannot explain it but Curacao is always amazing.
