I might re-think the paddle fins initially, split fins will be a lot easier on your knee while it's recovering.
I have a permanent bad knee and it's what I use.

Of course due to the patent licensing, they're 2-3 times the price.
Yeah, I guess it also depend what the surgeon would need to do. If it is something fairly minor and Dr say everything should be fine to try diving once I can put weight on it a couple weeks after the surgery or it could be more major and Dr might not want me to try diving till everything is 100% healed.
