Scubitis invariably progresses into gearitis, where you obsessively search dive shops, Ebay and Craig's list to add to your ever-growing accumulation of dive gear. For those (like myself) who are afflicted with this condition, every time one thinks they finally have all the gear they need---Ooh! Shiny!
