Hi All, I need some advice, please.

DM, 500+ dives, all my own gear and Dive Medical AS/NZS 2299.1

I want to do my IDC in the Philippines between 13th November 2022 and the 4th of February 2023

Questions for the PHILIPPINES

Which area will give me the best diving, as I want to stay on after my IDC and spend a month diving.
Which PADI provider is the best of the best?
I prefer to study part-time but dive every day over the 6 weeks
Which Course Director is the best of the best?
I prefer to study in smaller groups.
On-site pool

Looking for employment possibilities and job placements.

I am on holiday and visiting Thailand too

I have no idea on the course especially on "BEST" but I do know:
1. Tourists can only get 30 days visa free entry. And you are talking about 3 months stay in the country. Therefore you ought to find out how you are going to extend your stay before setting foot in the country.
2. You can forget about getting employment.
3. Even the "best of the best" might not have an IDC running in that period

"Best"? Why so many peoples are so obsessed with it! It is a myth.

Hi Centrals

Is the employment issue because there are no tourists or a local employment issue?

Is it even worth doing an IDC then if there is no work for the foreseeable future?

Visa I can fix.

Found lots of IDCs running

20 yrs ago you might get a job but that is history.
AFAIK only Korean or chinese operators might offer job to their own compatriots but they are all working illegally.
How many IDC in Australia every yr?

Fixing the visa outside or inside the country?

#27.
59 days visa was NOT issued.
Situation might change!

Your best bet is Koh Tao in Thailand where there are lot of dive factories.

Check out Neptune Diving Resort in Moalboal, Cebu. Their next IDC would be in the beginning of next year i believe. Great place to do your IDC and a great place to stay with loads of things to do beside diving
