    Look at the total package of available ports for each type of housing as well. If you are using the gear daily, there is probably an advantage to go with optical glass dome ports - they should be more resistant to scratching.

    Hi Terry,

    Sorry for the off topic question, but why do you not use the g7x ii for macro?

    From what I read it is supposed to be insane for macro shots.

    Do you use the wide angle lens with a short port or with the standard port?

    I am asking because I will be purchasing the G7X ii soon, unless the iii comes out, then that.
