Here's a fun picture of me at Philips' Lake, Me.
This is an "at the dive site" solution to needing a reel capable of holding several hundred feet of line.

Total project cost:
Reel $0.00
Line $borrowed from buddy :)

Grand total: $0.00 i.e. the right price.

worked like a charm too.

In case you can't make out the photo, it's two branches lashed together to form a double ended Y thing. Then the line is wrapped up around the ends..
