You were right about the 965 adapter. It will not do 3D. Sorry I couldn't test any further but at least you know for sure now. :D

Yeaa ... the 965 it's quite "ancient" from a computer industry point of view ....

Maybe one day you will upgrade your PC so you could enjoy the virtual oceans:D

I've got the Intel 945. The log complains:
Error in file ..\src\app\main.cpp ,line 105:vertex shaders 2.0 not supported

However on Intel's site, they state the following:

Graphics Controller Vertex Shaders 1.0-3.0 Pixel Shaders 1.0-2.0
Intel® 945G Express Chipset YES(1) YES

The footnote states:
(1) Intel provides an optimized graphics pipeline for vertex processing that is included in Microsoft* DirectX*. This can be used by games to provide software geometry processing.

My guess is the 965 should as well. It may just be a matter of turning on the option...more to follow.
