Hi Dennis,
I pasted their questions and will answer in red. I also attached the flyer for the Midas Hotel with the transfer info.
Thanks,
Larry

I'd like clarification on this also, as my buddy and I (NWGratefulDiver) will be arriving quite early also. So, for $140 US for the room and transfer (both included in that price and for 2 people) Transfer is not included, It is $20 per person for two or more travelling together or $36 for one.

I would appreciate confirmation that it includes the following:

1. Pick-up at the airport on Friday morning at approximately 7:30 a.m. of both Bob and myself (driver with sign waiting at the designated date/time we have provided for our flight, i.e. they will keep an eye on our arrival and make any necessary changes if needed)
Yes - also, we won't have to wait around for OTHERS arriving from different flights, ie. we will be transported directly to the hotel (this is important as we will have been travelling all night after working all day the previous day and will want to get to the hotel for check-in and sleep); Yes (If there are other guests on the same flight or within a few minutes they would all go together)
2. Early check-in I suspect will need to be arranged on Friday morning for a stay until Saturday morning (if we book through SB here, I will want confirmation that this has been arranged);
Check in at the Midas Hotel is at 2:00pm To absolutely guarantee earlier they will probablyneed to make their reservation for the previous evening. If they arrive at 7:30 am it will probably be at least 9:00 by the time they arrive at the Midas. We can request an early check in but it would not be guaranteed.

3. Deliver us back to the airport on the Saturday morning to the designated meeting/waiting spot where we will be collected as a group to be transported to the Atlantis Resorts via their transportation. I suspect this may be a group transport thing from Midas to the airport and that is acceptable; and.
Transfers to the resort in Puerto Galera will be directly from the Midas Hotel as numerous invaders will be there. Transfers will also be from the Manila Airport for those arriving that morning.

4. Breakfast IS NOT included in that price??
That is correct. They offer a great buffet, I think it’s around $20, or a la carte.

Hi, If we fly in 2 days early to manila and stay at midas will atlantis still meet us at airport and take us to the hotel? If not then we would need to get a taxi on our own, correct!! Atlantis staff will be waiting for you outside baggage claim with your name on a sign whenever you arrive regardless of the day or time. You will be taken by private van to the Midas Hotel and our agent will assist you checking in.

All of the above is provided that reservations are made through Atlantis. If they make their own hotel reservations Atlantis will not provide transfers

Thanks Denis, I am staying at Bob's house this weekend for some diving in Seattle and we'll chat however I think we'll likely book privately at Midas through Expedia (significantly cheaper AND includes breakfast). Only downside I see to this is that we'll have to arrange for transport from airport to Midas upon arrival which I don't see as a big deal, Bob and I being frequent travelers.

For those that won't be booking Midas through the SB travel agent, I assume we can still be picked up with the group from that same hotel for transport to Atlantis on Saturday morning? Please confirm. Thanks!!

Jody do as you wish but you need to try booking that hotel. I think you will find extra cost.
I just did a search thru Expedia and got the following results without breakfast.

There is something to be said having folks waiting for you at the airport in a strange country.

Of course if you at the Midas hotel when the group leave you will travel with us... no matter how you book the hotel.

TRANSFER to the resort are from the airport or Midas hotel and included in the package.

Thanks Denis, yes I am just looking at all my options and seeing if I can find a price in Canadian dollars for the hotel (that would likely include breakfast as a bonus but obviously not include the transfer). Not sure if you're aware or not but right now it costs me $1.30 for every $1 US. So $140 US costs me $187 CDN and that's the comparison I'm going off of. Just trying to make this work financially as best I can.

With the $140 US (for two people, etc.), plus transfer costs then we're looking at $180 US ($241.09 CDN), are there any further taxes to be added onto that cost or is that a straight fee that includes all taxes and service fees? This is why I'm looking at the other sites, just to see if there are any better options. I am a good planner and I like to look at something from every angle. :)

Expedia price (not including breakfast) but including all the taxes etc. is $216.64 CDN, a taxi would be additional as well, not a huge difference as it turns out so if there aren't any further charges to the SB price, it might be easier to book directly with the SB agent... oh wait, but I just remembered there was an additional $25 charge for booking the hotel with them, right?? So that would be $180 + 25 = $205 US or $275 CDN ($60 difference which is more than enough to cover the taxi and breakfasts I would imagine) - so breakfast is a bonus :D

Details on room cost from Atlantis

2 guests in the room which makes $180 for the couple.
If someone wants a room alone in would be $140 + $20, $160.
There are no other taxes or service charges although I usually tip the bellman a couple of $.

Thanks,

2 people in the room $180 US (now different from previously posted $140) - however wasn't there a $25 additional charge for booking the room through the SB travel agent also?

This issue is explained in the first post of this thread. the $25 charge was for airline tickets only. the total cost of your room was answered by Atlantis and posted in my most recent post also Roxanne and I will be hosting the 2015 SURGE Curacao starting tomorrow. I will be out of the country and most likely unavailable to answer questions until we return. Thank you for your patience on this issue.

Hi,
I am going to take a stab at these numbers:

According to the Dec 3rd At 5 pm posting from Cardzard (from Larry) above, I believe they are including the $20/person taxi ride in the new $180 price. So the room for 2 plus the taxi ride for 2 would be: $140 + $40 = $180.

I would disagree with Larry's numbers from Dec 4th 4 pm posting for a single person room and taxi: $140 + $36 = $176 (not the $160 listed above).
