Well, if he’s getting LCL shipments, that would definitely add to the transit time. Customs are generally the easiest gov’t officials I deal with. Try dealing with EPA on pesticides, FDA on medical equipment, or ATF on firearms. EPA is probably the worst.

Based on the experiences of my friends with the ATF, EPA must be really horrible if they are worse than the ATF.

CBP/ATF on imports is likely a different animal than FFL interactions with ATF. EPA is nit picky like you wouldn’t believe. I have to submit product labels (which are already EPA approved) on every customs entry for pesticides. I’ve seen EPA Region 4 (southeast) go bonkers on something EPA HQ in DC approved. They’re batsh*t crazy in Region 4.

Sounds like the government to me.

Anyways to get the thread back on track, due to currently using an Air 2 need a second stage for my upcoming cavern class at Ginnie Springs. But since I heard so many great things about D6, I figured I would just buy a whole new setup as I can repurpose it for sidemount or doubles, but the lack availability is hampering that.

Just the 2nd is currently available. So if that’s the only part you need for you next trip you can get it now.

Per the page, those don't include the service benefits that they normally include.

Word I have back from them is they should be back in full stock situation at months end - I'm waiting to order somewhere between 2 and 5 single tank rigs myself...

If enough people are like you, I wonder how long they will be able to stay in stock...

It's a "good" problem to have (as in there are worse problems), but still a major problem. I helped run a computer consulting business that perennially had more work than we had time to do. I seriously looked back before that time longingly and ended up leaving because of the constant stress that helped to create.

So, for Chris and his team's sake, I truly hope the inventory issues work themselves out... but cashflow vs. inventory vs. leadtime is a tough problem for every small and upstart company to address.

I was actually referring to the orange second which was in stock I believe a day or 2 ago when we checked for another thread.
As far as the no service goes for the “blue” model. You may want to contact deep 6 directly and see if that still applies. That message was specifically for when it was onsale during their “blue Friday” sale. The reg was priced at $85 shipped so myself and others picked those up at that “extremely” low price. They did include the free parts kits but didn’t include the first free service itself. Now the regs are back up to $130 price. So the free service may now be included. Deep 6 would need to confirm this
