Hi Mr Tusa!

As a long time fan of Tabata, I bought an IQ-700 in a 343 console
and during a dive incident, it unfortunately took on water out of warranty.

I have disassembled and dried the unit, but would like an exploded
view to make sure I did not forget anything before reassembly.

Thank you and regards.

Pierre

How easy was it to take it apart?
I have one just like your except that the problem is the left button.
How old is your computer? This has supposedly been fixed on the new ones ??

I bought mine in 02-2006.

It is quite easy, the only problem is I have 4 very small gold springs
and cannot remember where to put them.

You just unscrew the 4 Torx6 back screws and then carefully
pop out the back. That o-ring is quite solid!

Then you un screw the 3 PCB screws and everything
is undone...

Now, it says ERR when at time and the 3 mountains flash on/off...

I would like to save my 400$ if I can...

Hello Pierre-
Sorry to hear of your incident.
The IQ-700 and other computers/gauges and equipment are not user-serviceable. Please contact your authorized retailer or the Canadian distributor, Oceaner for more information. Oceaner can be contacted HERE

Will they have spare parts for the computer?

I already dried it up and reassembled it.

Everything is OK except left button does not respond.
I will need a new PCB...

HI Pierre-
Unfortunately, no. Computers are replaceable only, but they can offer more information.

Seems to me that if the only way to fix it officially is to replace it then there is nothing to be lost by taking it apart and fiddling with it :D

Unauthorized tampering will void any possible warranty. Once the unit has been opened, in most cases it is not possible to detect reason for flood. A warranty replacement would not be issued. Be sure to check with your local dealer regarding warranty claims. Repairs should never be attempted by consumers.
