Does any one know if the apeks chest / inflation valve is glued to the suit, or just supposed to be 'screwed' tight ?

My suit was leaking a little there, so I was about to clean the valve and lube the inside o-rings, but when removing the inside cover, the outside valve came out too, and there is apparently only a gasket to get the isolation, but no glue.

Maybe it's normal - I'll figure out very soon  - , any one has a clue ?

thanks

Hi Stargost,

According to Pam Oliva vavles are installed using rubberized silicone sealant (like the stuff used to seal aquariums), and then hand tightened. Absolutely NO AQUASEAL!!!

Hope that answers your question. If you need more information please let us know. And you are always welcomed to give us a call 619-236-1203 or 800-325-8439

Thank you,

Kathy
