The DIR forum was recently changed to be open rather than requiring user group membership. I don't have anything against DIR, but as I'm not a DIR diver my contributions to those threads would be at best distracting and incorrect.

Now that that forums is open, the threads show up in "new posts" - which is generally the only page I visit on scubaboard. Recently I've found myself posting in the DIR section or almost posting before I realized the thread was in the DIR forum (for example a recent thread about backup lights).

So.. after the long preamble - my question: Is there a way I can block or ignore a forum like I can with a user? I searched in the account options and didn't find anything obvious on my own.

Even before the DIR forum was opened up, the posts always showed up in New Posts for me.

In that case, it must just be a coincidence that it was recently opened and I've found myself mistakenly participating or nearly participating in the forum.

There is no way to ignore it at present, but thanks for your discretion. I'll see what we can do in that regard.
