Hi ya all;

I just picked up my new Reg. yesterday and we did a minute or so test on it. It is a Scubapro R190, when I breath threw it I sound like Darth Vadar. This is my first new one I have owned and it is very loud. Now the dive shop owner said it would lessen with use, please tell me this is true,I don't want anything below to think a new subspecies has just enter the water.

the sound you hear is quite normal. It is dampened greatly underwater and you should not hear it. My Apeks squeaked too and it's very smooth where it should be!

cherinere,

Its me again......That is very normal with new regulators. Its just the diaphram fluttering. When you get into the water it won't do that anymore. My new Apeks Regulator does the same thing but it doesn't affect the perfomance of the regulator.

Dive Safe.....
