What is the best canister light for technical diving/decompression diving? Anyone selling?

"Best" is a loaded question. I think the UWLD LD35 is the best for a number of reasons. Others think the Halcyon Focus 2.0 or the Light Monkey variable focus light is the "best."

You need to qualify your question a little better. What type of diving will you be doing? Cave? Wreck? Deep deco dives? They all could potentially have different answers.

thanks for your best opinion

His "best opinion" pretty much nailed it, actually. You might want to consider answering the intended usage before dismissing people because it can change the answer quite considerably. :)

I think the UWLD is the best built light out there, hands down. I have 2 of them, a LD15 and a new gen LD35. I don't use either as they pretty much suck for a lot of the low viz high particulate diving I do. In Fla and Mexico caves with gin clear water they rock. I just sold my Dive Rite HP50 Combo, another extremely well made light, because I prefer my go to in the crappy viz I spend a lot of time in.

I use a Halcyon Focus and find it superior for the types of diving I generally do. Intended usage is an extremely important factor in determining what is "best".

1/ Halcyon Focus 2.0 no E/O on a 5.2aH with expedition handle

2/ Halcyon Focus 2.0 no E/O on a 20aH with expedition handle

3/ Halcyon Focus 2.0 with E/O on XYZaH with expedition handle

Option 1 for 3hr burn time (on high)

Option 2 for 12hr burn time (on high)

Option 3 for "whatever you have in your locker/space on your belt" burn time (on high)

If using with Side Mount, special order it with a longer cable and right angle gland on the canister.

I'm usually running in "Low" mode, unless it is really bright out in the shallows, or assisting in some video lighting. This is for all my diving (Rec/Tech/DPV/Caves). I dive in everything from Pea Soup to Gin waters, warm and cold water.

The LM offering is really nice too. However, I don't find it as bright (by a smidgen, but it still is stupidly bright) and have found it to be a little more $$ (at least every time I price it out).
