Question Issue with ascend and descend

Probably not a bad idea. @kinoons mentioned some meds that some people find helpful so those may be worth a try, though I would advise caution if you do given your description of reverse block. If you take medication at the wrong time it can wear off while you're on the bottom and lead to another reverse block.

FWIW I didn't see anything in your description that would suggest inner ear involvement as mentioned above.

Good catch about the reverse squeeze, I was thinking of treating the issue, not trying to prepare for diving.
 
Update here: went to an ENT in Sorong and he said that this was caused by severe congestion in my upper and lower turbinates in my right nasal cavity. Caused the Valsalva movement to not effectively clear my ears. That lead to an infection in middle ear which will be resolved by draining the water through my nose. So current medication is nasal spray, antibiotics, and other various drugs.

Thanks all for the help. Will definitely keep in mind congestion occuring during dive to cause another reverse block
