have downloaded the progam and I get an error upon running it. The message says:

"eDiving.exe- unable to locate component
This application has failed to start because d3dx9_32.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix the problem."

Here is the fix:

The d3dx9_32.dll is a file generated by Microsoft and is part of their
DirectX9 product. Probably you have an old version of DirectX9 ....
Microsoft keeps updating it ... daily ....
You can find the d3dx9_32.dll for free on the Internet (one place is
here http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?d3dx9_32 ).
Download it and copy it in the C:\Program Files\eDiving (default
directory were eDiving gets installed).

I sent an email with a bug and some suggestions to EDiveNav should I post all my bug finds here as well?

Hi,
thank you for taking the time to test eDiving.
I saw your email.

Yes, please open a new Thread with your feedback / questions and we will respond here so other beta tester will not have to ask same questions.

Does it work now?

I_AM

Actually I have both an older and a newer version within the install directory.

d3dx9_35.dll dated 07/19/2007 AND

d3dx9_31.dll date 09/28/2006

I did copy the d3dx9_32.dll version to the install directory and it solved the problem.

If the application requires a specific version of DX9 why didn't the developer include that version within the InstallShield installation package?

How can you tell that I am a corporate developer :D?

Because ...... we forgot it :shakehead:

Hi AM!

I had the same problem. Klee Kai's fix worked.

Ross-O

Hi Ross,
glad to hear that.

How is the baby?

Today I had a nice and long ride on the 1098 :D

I also had the same problem. Downloaded the fix. Then got an error message "Could not find any compatible Direct3D devices." I have "Intel Graphics Media Accelerator Driver for mobile" which has choices for "3D Settings"

Any suggestions?
