couldn't stand not really knowing everything that I was eating broke down and cooked for my friends

as told in Chinglish

stuffed chili

take 15 green chilis, test first for spicy
boil until tender soft about 30 minutes

take 5 chicken eggs and seperate yokes and whites

beat whites with whip until firm

cool chilis with cold water and remove seeds

put yellow and white cheese slices into each chili

place a plate with about 2 cups of wheat flour

mix whites and yellows together still using a whip

heat a pan with some oil

roll stuffed chili in the flour then dip into eggs

place into heated pan and cook until egg is done
as cooking the cheese melts

remove

cook all chilis

can be eaten with kuaizi but a fork is more traditional

now for American substitions

a can of Ortega Green chilis works best but wash and remove seeds

Colby Jack works best with a little Motzarella

Whip whites until meringue firmness

eat with salsa

about 3 chilis per egg

Is this as hot as it sounds??? (The Chinese version.) MMMMM.....got me hungry for some Chile Rellenos! (Only we use the whole egg!)

oh yes Chilli Rellenos that is what they are called.....The recipe was taught to me by my MOM

Ortega whole green chillis are quite tame in comparison to the first set of chillis that I tried..hence the addition of the taste test first....Whoa

the whole egg is used , the whites are whipped then the yokes are added to the whites after being beat some

next trip it will be Taco's as I couldn't remember how to make a tortilla..much less find Manteca Lard...

I'm sure you don't know exactly what was in your food over there, but what do you THINK u were eating?

they went to my waist....

I ate the following items:

Salmon sashimi style
Halibut sashimi style

Beef mostly cut thin slices served in a sauce with mushrooms
then hot pot style

Pork spare ribs, meat deep fried served with pineapple, pig tail yes there is meat. pig brain no flavor but texture of pudding,

Fish with bones tiny bones I hate bones the fish meat tasted good when there were no bones

Chicken no feet or heads but legs thighs breast and parts they have KFC but not the same

duck meat only and I think a half a head

goose intestine and feet

frog legs

the veggies I nick named weeds...long story...

I developed the don't ask don't tell policy,, if it tasted good I ate more if the taste or visual image didn't match I only had a bite

I ate well to well

the best is the roadside market cooks that serve a sweet bread stuffed with vegatables or meat.

I had to bribe my translators with Rellenos to completly avoid the delicacy of dog
