Jets don't work for everyone ... I had similar issues with mine, which is why I sold them. Like Pete, I eventually settled on Hollis F1's, but there are a lot of options out there. Lots of women I know prefer the Mares Power Plana or Dive Rite EXP fins ... the foot pocket seems to be better shaped for a woman's foot, which is generally more narrow than a man's.

jet fins are crap. not sure how gue/wkpp/DIR settled on that as the defacto fin for dir diving way back when.

w0rd.

I went through years of pain with Jetfins (and many different lengths/brands of spring straps) before switching to Hollis F1s

You could also try molding the insert. I had to do this with a pair of Scubapro's.

Folded the spring strap forward, immersed the foot pocket in boiling/boiled water and left it there for a minute or two.

Had taken a sturdy hiking boot, stuffed it with news paper to simulate high arch. Then I wacked the hiking boot into the fin insert. Once the fin had cooled the upper of the foot pocket had steeper slope which removed the pain on the upper portion of my foot.

This process can be repeated if the first attempt was not successful and if you reheat the rubber and just leave it it should go back to its original shape.
