Though I never met either of these gentlemen, they were dive pioneers and leaders.
John Reekie was a Canadian who dived the Florida caves, and also northeast shipwrecks, including the Empress of Ireland in the St Lawrence, which he ran charters to.
Hank Garvin was a wreck diver and the skipper of the MV Garloo, a Northeast wreck diving charter that started life as the MV Wahoo. Many northeast wreck divers will recognize him.

Two deaths in a short time. I know they are diving up a storm in the afterlife.

I knew Hank. He was a good guy. He was a total dive animal and appreciated stories that weren't always about diving. I appreciated his wide vision. He was fun too. Very sad to know he passed. My condolences to his family and many friends.
