We have arrived.. Beach front (if you call this a beach)..

Spoke with our dive shop and they are going to put together a dive for us over to barracuda.

I have 5 tanks in the rental sitting there since everyone (but me) was tired... grrrr..

I was looking for a nice shore dive.

ohh well.. at least the net is accessible here.

Planned on Punta Sur today, but with the winds, it was too rough to deal with going on south. Did Palancar Cuevones instead and back to Tormentos. Pretty good viz, easy current. Lots of good stuff, but some in the group wanted to swim/kick. *sigh*
Found another white nose pipefish, but the swimmers were way down current already, so time with it was short.
Did find this girl while they were working their way across the sand to another section of the reef...

Pelagical, we found a white nosed pipefish on Yucab on June 22nd. (Page 319 in my reef fish ID book). I had never caught a glimpse of that one. Today we found 3 sea horse on San Clemente! What a treat! I love those shallow dives hanging in the back of the group searching for these cool treasures!!!! Pure bliss. continued safe bubbles to you.

We did Palancar caves as well today and finished up on Delilah.
Got to see loads of good stuff so our first day in the water was awesome.. Got to see the usual cast as well as a large nurse shark that passed about 2 ft under me and the wife as well as a monster eel.

I am trying to see if the fam is wanting to get wet again tonight but they are all beat.. grrr.. I get bored fast here if I am not underwater.

Heading down tomorrow... and bringing 15 with me. July 1, 2010. Ok I know it's not June technically. Staying at Hotel Cozumel and Diving with Dive Paradise.

Palancar Cuevas and Paso de Cedral Shallow today. More current fun but not quite as quick as yesterday. Enormous loggerhead turtle at the end of Cedral. Will try to get pic from kcdiver56 and post it.
In the mean time, a reef scene from Palancar.

Ah! Anyone know what happened to Martin's cross on Palancar? Base still there but no cross!

Got here yesterday and dived bolones and las palmas today only saw 1 lion fish which Jeremy fed to anonme.. i expected to see a lot more so the good work being done to control the population must be having an effect. Also saw lots of small fry so that is good also Only 2 other divers and their first time with LU. They get 120s tomorrow.

Am at Noname bar drinking a nice tall long island tea and eating nachos and guac. Life is good.

Darn. Exhaled at the wrong time.
Seeing dive nazi in pix reminded me - sprung a leak in HP hose, so the nazi is no longer diving until I find another hose w/ quick release.
