We brought our kayak down for the summer and were wanting to take it to the Keys in early August. Any info on places to enjoy, or places to avoid? We like to stay shallow, 15 to 45 feet, and dive from it. Thanks,
Trish

Well, I don't know of any places to paddle that are better than others. Speargirl would probably be able to help you with that but I don't think you'll be diving from your yak as the reefs are too far out for that.

WHERE in the keys?

lower keys has sites to dive on inside... and some of the bay holds bugs.... and all the bridges are good but dangerous.

but the reef is about 5' offshore.

*hens and chickens is only about 3 miles off...
