I was reading about the incident in Bali that occurred a couple years ago where some divers were separated from their boat and wee on the surface overnight in high seas. Some divers were separated from the group and were lost.

I made this little rig to prevent that from happening.

Hook the middle clip to a waist D ring and it fits in my BC pocket. To deploy simply un clip the loop from an end clip and the line will extend. The 550 cord is about 7 or 8 m long. If more than three divers the cord can be looped through d rings to form a chain.

The end clips are tied with double bowline knots.

Can also use my SMB line as it is using a thick line not the skinny lines you normally see. My SMB is quite large and can also be used as a lift bag.
