Here is a YouTube video on the Monterey Bay Veterans' Lift to Freedom Program.

It has taken a lot of work from more than a hundred volunteers plus donations from dozens of companies to make the MV Freedom operational to support disabled divers. The Lift to Freedom was inspired by the extraordinary motivation and courage of David Riley, a quad amputee. It was clear that a better way was needed after seeing how difficult it was for David to dive off a commercial dive boat in Monterey.

Please contact the Monterey Bay Veterans for more information. It could never have happened without their commitment to make diving safer, easier, and more dignified for physically challenged people who want to enjoy the experience most of us on this board take for granted.
