Light Monkey is my light of choice. They're local to me, so getting service is pretty easy but I believe that they are customer centric in all things.

Also, $1700 is kind of a lot of money to pay for unreliable light
Yeah, and look at the response here. Light Monkey is anything but unreliable. Learn from the people who actually use the product.
