Lionfish Workshop - Get your collection permits!

On July 22nd, REEF will be hosting a Lionfish Collecting and Handling Workshop from 6:30 - 8:30 pm.


Attendees can obtain a permit to collect lionfish within the Sanctuary Preservation Areas (SPAs) in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary (FKNMS) using nets. Topics of the workshop include background of the invasion, lionfish biology, ecological impacts, current research, collecting and handling techniques and more
