I'm in need of a longer fiber optic cord. I've got a hardwired TTL strobe that I'm trying to slave off of. My 2nd strobe is a slave to that TTL strobe. Unfortunately the cable that came with my 2nd strobe is one of those coiled (6ft- if you're lucky) cables. When I pull the strobes apart to take a WA shot, the slave strobe will sometimes not fire. My feeling is I need a longer cable so that it isn't so stressed. Any suggestions?

Here're two sites which sell F/O cable:

You can make little tapered plugs that will fit the cable sockets on your camera and strobe housings. Drill a hole through the center and glue the cable in place. Cable can be cut with a razor blade, it's basically fiberglass. I usually put a drop of crazy glue on the cut end to seal and lock the fibers in place. To capture the flash from your camera the cables can be cut at an angle for greater coverage of the output.

This is what I made my F/O cables from on my U/W rig.

Note, stressing a F/O cable can break the fibers, resluting in decreased transmission. This might be why your cable isn't working as well anymore.
