Looking for a sailboat charter from Ft Laud.

I am looking for a Sailboat charter from Ft. Lauderdale Fl. going to the Bahamas around the 2nd week of May. If anyone has used a specific charter (sailboat or otherwise) and has some feedback it would be greatly appreciated!!

1 word: B-L-A-C-K-B-E-A-R-D! Great outfit to go with, mind you they will bring you back as well, but perhaps you strike a deal with them to leave you on the islands.

are you looking for a "group charter" or a "private charter"?


Like Tamas said, Blackbeard's is the dominate sailing/diving charter out of south Florida, but there are a few other smaller operations.

If you need a private charter, let me know. We did one a few years ago and it was a blast. We went on http://www.island-adventure.com/ and i would definately use them again. Note this isn't a million dollar luxary yatch though and he also doesn't have an onboard compressor.

Thanks guys for the suggestions!!!!!... Yes so far I am just planning this for myself. I have some time off in may, so I was going to dive a little around Ft. Lauderdale and then head to the Bahamas for few days.
