I am looking to add a PWC to our dive team for rescue purposes and am looking for opinions. Currently we are looking at Yamaha and Sea Doo. Any thoughts would be appreciated. We mostly have rivers and large freshwater, no ocean or salt areas.

We have used a wide varity over the years. All will work well. One thing to keep in mind is the bigger the sled the harder it is to handle the the harder it is to launch.

A short sled won't carry heavy weight well. A long sled won't get into areas where a short one will. Areas with a lot of weeds just love them. So much so they try and keep them.

Get with dealers and the parent companies. We don't own our sleds. The companies give them to us for a years use then we exchange them for new ones. Great advertizing for them and a great deal for us. We will run 6 this year.

We do the same thing with our snowmobiles. With our marine division owning and maintaining 14 boats we don't need the extra expense of the sleds.
