I recently purchased a zeagle scout BC with the octo+ inflator. This is their version of the power inflator / alternate air source. The octo+ came with its own inflator hose. Apparently it is a little bit different connection that a standard LP inflator hose. Can I change this hose myself or should I leave that to the rpos? It appears to me that it's nothing more than screwing off one hose and screwing on another. Is there more to this than I am seeing?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Frank

Frank,
This is a straight forward exchange, unscrew the old hose & screw on the new hose. Zeagle uses a larger ID hose for the Octo +. Use a little silicone grease on the o'ring, unless you're using Nitrox, then use an oxygen compatible grease.
I made this change myself on my Zeagle Ranger, no problems encountered.
