The Galileo batteries are not re-chargeable.The user-changeable battery in the Galileo series computers lasts between 300-500 dives depending upon the temperature of the water and the use of the backlight.

I've had mine for 2 years, 158 dives and still reads as full battery. They last a pretty long time.
