Major Bummer_CLUB MED closed

I just found out, while at my LDS that the Club Med in San Carlos is closed.. I have been diving in San Carlos a few times the last time I stayed at the CLUB MED and it was by far the best Value for the money.. now they are out of business and my LDS is making arrangements with another hotel in town for diving trips that can be all inclusive, bus trip down and meals included..


I wonder how many other resort locations might not reopen for the diving season?

Hi Fishkiller,

Yes, Club Med is closing a number of its facilities, about 17 best as I can tell. Some temporarily, others permanently. They've been hit hard by the post-911 reduction in tourism.

I was recenty in San Salvador, Bahamas and found the CM Columbus Isle fully closed.
