Hi all

Has anybody combined a week / week and a half's stay in Malapascua with a visit to the whalesharks in Oslob or the other site that they seem to be fed in ? Any advice on logistics of travel / transfers etc. would be most appreciated. Advice on where to stay nearish Oslob would be great too. I do realise that many people have strong views about feeding wild creatures, but would just love to see them and snorkel or dive with them.

Many thanks as always

I have never been, but I though Malapascua was famous for Threshers, not Whale sharks.

I have never heard of feeding Whale sharks anywhere...

Would be totally possible. I would say go to Malapascua first, and then when you are having your 24hrs before flying time just go to Oslob for half a day. You can get there from Cebu in about 2-3hrs. Bus or private transport. I don't know of any recommendations of where to stay but I think Rogersea mentioned somewhere in another thread.

It's totally possible but you'll need to leave Malapascua very very early in the morning to make it in time. I left around 5am and arrived about 12noon with a private van, which btw. didn't cost that much more then just the transfer to the airport.
